As the young penguin rolls on the ground
He cries 'Yippee!'in joy and delight
But then he finds the colony's elders watching him
With big stern eyes
'What on Earth are you doing?'
'I-I-I was rolling on the ground sir!'
'And may I ask you oh young one,why were you doing that?'
'Umm-for fun?'the penguin kid replied
'For fun!For heaven's sake, when will you grow up?
Do you not know, that rolling on the ground
Is the most un-formal way of penguin behaviour?'
'But sir,I am a child!I have'nt grown up!'
'Oh yes, thats because you are always playing'
Then up came the king
He snorted and said
'Gentlemen!I could'nt help over hearing you
And want to have my say:
All you grown-ups are always saying
Grow up!Grow up!Grow up!
Do you not realize
That child hood will pass
And these youngsters will become like us?
They'll have rheumatics like us oldies
And wont be able to play
Soon he'll start getting solemn
And Ta Da!He's one of the colony's respected elders
So just let him play!'
The wise words of the king
Hit upon the penguins
And they let the kid be a kid

I think this is completely sweet. It really makes sense. I have a 15 year old and he can't wait to grow up! I wish I was a kid again! Growing up means responsibilites that kids just don't have and can't conciously concieve of until they've grown up. You seem to have breeched that gap between knowing that being a grown up isn't always so great. Enjoy your childhood

Good luck!
