Last year I wouldn't have
given him a second thought,
but now for some reason
my heart he's got.
I don't know what happened
to bring my love anew,
now I'm chasing him
and I don't know what to do.
I don't know him very well
but I dote him just the same,
a loving beat plays in my heart
for with him it's not a game.
Over mountains, valleys
and seas far away,
I feel something towards
him on this very day.
I wonder if he feels
the same for me or not,
in this love situation
I don't want to be caught.

You managed an effective rhyme scheme and used a symbolism of travelling to show what you would do for the person.
