Fading Light

Her lips are frozen in place,
Their pale hue becoming paler.
Fear placed itself around her heart.
A cage had come to trap her down.

Her pale hands reached aimlessly to the light,
Darkness had set in during the night.
Life faded, the light snatching it with it.
Darkness was never what was meant for this one.

No, the tigress is dieing,
Slowly dieing away.
Starlight at midnight,
One last hope.

Dark fading into dawn,
Dawn fading into dark.
Time passes…
Cruel hand ruining a face whose cold lips,
Breathe colder air.

How much longer…?
Can she take it?

Author notes

Ermm.... random poem I just wrote in like 5 minutes... I suppose I'm a little depressed... and I'm tired, very tired... Too much work, too much stress, not enough downtime, too many family and social problems, too much of everything and no time to vent or relax or let it all out...

When Commenting: Please tell me what you get out of this poem.
