[ six. ]

Six billion pairs of eyes
convincing themselves
i am different.
i am everyone.
i am nothing.
and
i simply don't care
what others think.

Six billion pairs of ears
listening quietly
for a hint of progression.
i call out.
i call to you.
i cave in.
and
i simply want
a little recognition.

Six billion different tastes
monitoring within.
judging you.
judging Him.
judging these opinions.
and
i simply need
a little proof that
we are worth the exertion.

Six different views of time
five of which we know.
we and i..
could almost be
          the same.

everyone is different! that' makes us all the same.

that's the line that we all think- but you took that idea and spun it into something more. and i get the image of 666 which i totally find approprate when i think about individuality. but in all honesty- this poem is deep. and i really enjoy. in present tense- cos i continue to enjoy it.

    Really well said and true.
I am terrible at giving compliments on poetry because all I know is "I liked that one!".

Regardless, this poem really says a lot.

    About English class alone...

Thanks. i know.. i have the hardest time going in depth with compliments. sometimes you can't really explain why you like something, you just do.
