Crossing Oceans to Find HIm

I feel the swell
crash against me
knocks me down
and I am bruised battered and bleeding.

I feel the ocean
icy cold
biting at my shins -
my feet are long dead,
but I press on.

                                      I must see him

Across the midnight sky
he calls to me
I feel his voice
within my very bones.

I beat against the water,
thrashing, slashing
it's grip away from me,
ignore the rocks under foot
always fighting...

Straining to move on,
I press against the spray
ignoring the sick stench of decay
that guides my way.

Lunging into darkness,
knowing I'll come past this,
there's no way I'll back out -
it's for my master.

                                      and I mustsee him!
