"You, My Bride ..."

You are so beautiful, a joy to behold
Kindness exuding, a heart of pure gold,
Your eyes so dark, draw me to the deep
Lost in the depths, my heart do you keep.

Your touch I desire like the flower the rain
Your caresses so tender, the longing brings pain,
An ache from the soul that won’t go away
To be by your side, what cost I would pay.

You’re more precious than anything this world might contain
Sculpted by the Master, the One who was slain,
You’re His that’s obvious, no one can deny
You follow Him faithfully, you do daily die.

This path we have taken to get here today
Pleasures innumerable, many more I do pray,
Still, the hard times that we have endured too
Have strengthened the bonds, proving our love true.

We continue this journey, the trail does not end
I do gladly go with my lover and friend.

    My goodness......

I would wear that around my neck...as the beautiful
necklace ever worn by any woman....and to keep me
out of trouble for when i find myself......
annoying? not that we women EVER ARE!
loved the heartfelt rich beauty....this just feeds
    the soul and heart!
    well done! well done!

A beautful heartfelt write. Very nice simile. Good flow, rhyme and tone. Nice imagery. Deep expression of emotion. Your tenderness and love for your wife and your faith shines in this piece. Good word choice, alliteration and assonance. Excellent closing lines. Well penned and much enjoyed.
