    A beautiful haiku

I feel as if I have just gone into my garden. Rose-blooming time. You have come over all summery, friend.
What an Aha! moment and contrast: the scent of the rose shot right up my nostril, unexpectedly. From insect shade to powerful rose vapours!
    Excellent haiku!

    Very Nice

So I comment n your works again for haikus Azure85
Getting back to your Haiku I really like this alot. I love your soft wording through out this poem but even more so I really liked how you incorporate a preying mantis into the picture as it really unraveled wonders in my hand. any ways nice work and keep it up

    This holds two powerful images,
one is the praying mantis and
the other is the scent of a rose.
what an interesting read this is
with those two in it. great job
on this, I really enjoyed it.
    good luck in the contest.

This is quite subtle - I notice the scent of a rose only when my nose is almost in it, and maybe I should not be so close! There is a lot of contrast in the two images, very interesting! Good luck.

    lovely

    Hello there, Susan!

What an awesome haiku! I don't know what to think, but I like it a lot. I think that's coz the first two lines are what the poet sees and the third line is what the poet smells. That's a wonderful way to write a haiku - mixing the senses like that.

This is a fine example of haiku where every word in it is needed for one reason or another. It sure puts to shame all those haiku i see where the poet has crammed in as much information as possible in 17 syllables.

Good luck in the contest & have a gr8 day,
    BJ.

Wow...this is an awesome haiku, at least in my opinion. I am just learning them, I took the class. I might not be great, but I know what I like. I hope it does well in the contest.
