Weeping Beauty

Missing image
Beneath the bough of the willow tree,
I sit in wonder of all that I see.
God's and Mother Nature's beauty meshed,
a shady bower to feel refreshed.

Amid the field willow gently sways,
dance with the daisies on summer days.
Rhythmic movements with zephyr adrift.
splendors in meadow let mind uplift.

Touch of wonder created with love,
the willow basks in sunshinie above.
Dotting the meadow wildflowers grow,
a rush of beauty begins to flow.

As far and wide as my eyes can see,
nothing more beautiful could ever be.
God's creations and nature's making,
behold these wonders so breathtaking,

    Breathtaking....

The painting of a picture in the mind by the use of words is a rare talent. Your words took me away and put me under that willow tree. I felt the sun, the breeze and smelled the wonderful scent. Transported, if but for a little while, and one with "these wonders so breathtaking" Excellent write. Good rythm that seem to match the sceen being painted with the words. I just loved this poem.....

Nicely done, the aa,bb quatrains are nice, the rhyme is lovely. The description bring the reader into the narrators world. Breezes flowing, trees sway, love in the air, creations that take breath away.

    SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!

My favorite tree is a weeping willow We planted two in our back yard way back a long time ago and since they grow quickly I would sit under them on warm days and just lounge and dream during a summer day.
