I am Vallasch
Prince of shadows in a kingdom of nothing

It’s an unusual name I know
I used to have a normal one
But it’s long forgotten now
Welcome to my home
My sanctuary isn’t as grand as I would like
But I’m afraid there’s nothing I can do
You see this was born of my mind

I would offer you a seat
But all I have is my throne
You can sit there if you want
But be warned it’s rimmed with ice
Like so much of my ruined hall
Full of naught but cold and loneliness
But then again so am I

I’m sorry that it’s raining
You can wear my cloak if you want
Don’t want you becoming as cold as me
This happens all the time
Because it always rains on me
I actually kinda like it
It’s the closest thing I’ve felt
To a caress upon my skin

Don’t worry about those cages
They’re for me, not for you
You see I like to be kept away from everyone
I know I have no subjects
And that I’m the bastard prince of this place
But I kinda like to be alone
It’s always been that way

It’s my favourite painting
I look at it so often
It’s strange how lifelike that demon is
What? You say that it’s just a mirror?
I thought it was a picture…

Hm? Oh, you like my sword?
It’s reassuring to hold it
Though my kingdom’s never been attacked yet
I’ve always wanted to be a knight
I hope that when I’m buried
I’ll be holding it in my hands
But I don’t think I’ll get my request
Because here I’m the only one that’s left

I’m afraid you have to go now
But I’ll never forget your face
I only hope that if I find my princess
She’ll be able to match your grace
Don’t cry for me, it’s time for you to leave
If you stay too long in here
You’ll be trapped forever like me
