he became all i needed in life
in just a short amount of time
but yesterday was out of the blue
into the past
my mind keeps taking me...
i still remember it all
as if it happened
only five minutes ago
but it was yesterday
definitely just yesterday
he came home with a new perfume
wafting from his collar
i knew the smell and where it had come from
the fight that broke out
was beyond what i'd intended
but it happened
we went to bed mad
and today there was a note
saying goodbye
into the past
my mind keeps taking me...
he said there was no more hope
for today
if there could be no hope
for yesterday
i cried
i knew i had not let him explain himself
and that there is only hope for tommorrow
into the future
my heart must lead me...

Oh yes this is a very effective use of the title and I'm happy you are enjoying this week's choices by our own WingedWolf. Through the sadness of this piece came that hope for tomorrow. The imagery was quite vivid and even in sadness we find beauty. Thank you for sharing this one with all of us and keep that ink flowing. It's good to see multiple writes for one week. Love and God bless, Joyce

P.S. I know you chose to use all lower case lettering and that is an author's choice. I still have a hard time seeing the word "I" not capitalized. LOL Still a great piece.

that's why I see the beauty of tomorrow. Tomorrow is the day that comes too soon yet gives us another chance to make things right. There is always the hope of tomorrow, even for the dying, because their tomorrow is the beginning of an eternity.
