Deep inside you can hear my heart pounding,
scream to let it out,
to free it from all this pain its going though.
My head screams at me to end it here,
to end all this suffering now.
I cut down not to deep the first time,
with the blade smiling of blood,
I cut again this time deeper in my vein.
My lips begin to smile,
My eyes start to close,
My body fall to the floor,
My skin turns cold,
My color fades away into the light,
MY heart slows down,
My head stays quite,
My life ends as my soul moves on.
I say goodnight and goodbye
to all my pain and suffering.
I say goodnight and goodbye as the blood
from my arm keeps flow away.
I SAY GOODNIGHT AND GOODBYE

Oh wow, this poem was SO powerful. It truly spoke to me!! There was a lot of emotion which is what every good poem has. I am an ex-cutter, so I could really relate to this. I love how you titled it 'goodnight and goodbye'. It really brought more depth to the poem, especially when you repeated it in the last stanza. Extremely well written!
