My significant other, invited me out to dinner,
We enjoyed German ambiance, Went to the bar to dance,
He is not a likely sinner, rather a financial winner,
Modest perchance, never one to brag or prance,
If I ever asked him, he would give a cash advance,
If I take a modest chance, might even get in his pants!
We enjoyed the nightclub, absorbed the hubbub,
Quaffed some brews, people watched, got rather amused;
I made a verbal flub, mood darkening, we left the club, left the club.
No longer amused, did not want him to feel abused or used,
We went to his abode, me feeling old, to try something new he espoused;
Mood lightened some, more beers were opened, both of us got soused.
We were soused in his house on that cold February day,
Then tried the activity he espoused, in the privacy of his house;
Activity is still our secret today, even though we are gay,
Do not think me a louse, or complain and grouse,
This relationship with him maybe gay, but it must stay,
While I may play, human friendships should never stray.
Friendships are vital, in a world of materials,
Friends are worthy of protection, not dereliction,
So the secret must remain, unseen though ethereal.
Forgive my affliction, But I'll make a prediction,
This secret-marked friendship, a heavenly benediction.
Never destroyed by cruel revelation, or human affliction.
