Fall to my knees to life I no longer live
Incense and chant
Forgiveness with a prayer
Never understood the need
The faith in something unseen
Bright light in the dimness of reality
Painted shadows thrown across the naive
When morning light shines through saviors
Well orchestrated pageantry
Sing a song of salvation
A song of repentance
Beautiful music so judgemental
What is there for me in a faith left behind
The endless shroud of purgatory
Choices that have made belief distasteful
Will my soul be doomed in the rot of oblivion
If I embrace the words will I still drown
In the sinful pit of dispare I have created
Gone are the child's eyes of awe
Obedience lost in left brain realities
To pray for ignorance would be ideal
Punishment upon me if only through my own hand
For ideals and promises and vows broken
Dogma ends my devotion without communion
