The Key

The gate has been locked for years.
Such a long time tightly bound with blood and tears.

He’s bled for love, starved for love.
But when is enough ever enough?

The Key is lost in pockets of misery.
He must open those tired eyes, look deep inside…

Explore the corridors that pass his heart,
through the doors that lead to his soul.

Every door leads to a soul.
Everyone bleeds and starves for love. As a matter of fact the whole theme of this poem is portrayed in a very cliched way.

You know: the key. finding the key. on and on.
I can't really make the connections, though, between your poem and the theme we want. 'Cept the last line. I suppose it sorta hints at starting over.

    Thanks for entering!

I have read this one through a few times now... So much emotion, in short stature. Very well thought piece. The imagery is sincere, and filled with an intricate wisdom. Learning to love, and breath again - first one must find that key, to what unlocks the beauty ever surging within. Great write!
