Know Not Winter

...and she is the fallen petals

of daisies beneath his feet

when tomorrow promises nothing

and he longs for nothing more

than pig tail dreams sail pretty

upon the ocean that is he

as moments slowly sift like sand

into hours and lash and love

where daisies know not winter

singing "he loves me" in her sleep

Some writes take the breath away, this one lends a new breath to an old emotion, a true emotion...love. The daisy, for me, is a metaphor for the "common" woman. One who holds her beauty within, and blooms strong and sturdy in places roses dare not bloom!

You are a daisy. This is art, about art, and it brought a tear to my tired eye.

    Blessed be,
    Billie Jean
