Entombed, as if it lay
beyond the cemetery gates,
as if it were some old soul,
encrypted with all of it's
bittersweet remains of love
Sorrow falls over like tears,
as the unspoken, "Baby", is
as loud as the blood drop,
from a bleeding cut, pours
freely, releasing the pain
and letting the kisses, from
worlds of old, erect the
risen scar, upon thine tender
and delicate skin
A flicker of a flame, much
like that of candle light,
dinner, the sweetness of
wine, your voice, your hug,
your touch, your kiss, your
breath upon my chest, as the
world was cold and dark outside,
we were as one, it was as if
Heaven above, reached down to
embrace us, and bind us together
Now, in my mind's eye, it is
all a haze, in the mist of you
and I, I see where our destiny,
as soulmates, uniting, have
afflicted the universe, and
created a ruckus, one much
like Jack and Sally, of the
Nightmare Before Christmas and
dear, sweet Lily, left to endure
her role, in a safe and secure
world, where she is left to
grasp ahold of moments of amore
I rest, in (not so quiet) peace,
as the ghosts of my past, visit
me and haunt me, every night, and
I ask myself, "How long must I
tarry with such misery, in this,
my coffin...My Haven in life and
in death...
