Gates of Paradise, lustrous and brilliant
Open are they to arrivals of which I am included
Solemn preparation, innumerable tears
Readying myself consumes too much precious time
Gorgeous light of Him
Illuminates my desperate uncertainties
Celestial wonders enlighten me
"Not yet," I am advised
Contemplating the warnings of an angel
I step aside this time
And begin my descent
Falling too fast to conceive images
Pictures that would serve
As much-needed remembrances
Beckoning me to my first origin
Who, besides a fool, would think to abandon Heaven?
If I am taken for a fool, so be it
Chorus of perfection was missing a cherubic tone
So my search begins
Find the lost seraphim
I'm on a quest for you
Private missions intrigue me
Since I'm not yet interested in Death and Kingdoms
We'll leave people unknowing
So long as I still recall your whereabouts
Deep secrecies apparent
In reflections of your protective glares
Gentle guardian turned mysterious phantom
Shrouded in the pasts of all people
Eyes of clear sapphire
Burn my empty memory
Where else would you be?
Now in your gracious embrace
You realize I haven't forgotten
Phantasmagoric you

This was an interesting poem. I'm not fond of poems such as this, but it was well written and caught my attention. It's a good write.

I found this to be very informative and inspiring. You have a very rich vocabulary and your composition had a nice flow to it. My favorite lines: "Falling too fast to conceive images/Pictures that would serve/As much-needed remembrances"
Thank you for entering my contest.
