Step Into My Mind

Missing image

Allow the moments

to linger, in this ageless

passionate inner-verse

that is my soul, older

than the very thought

of time itself

and quietly, I humbly saunter

through this existence

to gather

meaningful, little bits of

who I am supposed to be,

in hopes of creating

a whole, beautiful visage

to leave behind before

I depart again.

I am in love with the language of this poem. You have a definate talent with words. I love the imagery, and the line "that is my soul, older

    than the very thought

    of time itself"
is a poem in it of itself. Congratulations on the win. A wonderful poem, with wonderful language!

    Sincerely,
    Lillian Madeline

    FIlled up the Iris

Well, you certainly have not left any room to work around your "take"!

You have presented a very strong entry and most of all, you have given a perspective to us:

    "...a whole, beautiful visage
    to leave behind before
    I depart again."

    Amen!

    Thanks for sharing!
I concede before a drop of ink hits the page! Best wishes.

You are very serious about the business of living, eh? All the moments of life matter a lot, and much more than all that, our perceptions of them matter. A very good poem, MIke. Congrats and Best Regards!

Your soul is filled with beauty and passion, sweetheart, just as your words are. You reach out and touch me and I fear I will never be the same person again for knowing you.

Love and peace to you, my sweet
    Margaret
