You see me
But not really
I am hiding under a mask
Where no one sees me
You know this mask very well
I have never taken it of in front of you
I only know whats under the mask
I only know my true self
I go home
shutting windows and doors
I then take my mask off
And be myself
Then when I go back out
Into the judging world
I slip on that mask
To escape from judgment
But I always look back
Wondering...
Wondering if this mask will always be on
Or if one day...
If one day...
I'll be unmasked
Showing the world my true face
Showing the world I'm unique
Someday...
Someday, I'll unmask
But for now...
I'll put it back on

"Someday...

But for now...

I loved this part. I can relate to it very well. I tihnk everyone owns a mask. Some are thin, others scary, some half and others porcelain. We all want to be unmasked but unfortunately, only a rare few are allowed to see the face beneath. Great write and good luck in my contest.
