Finally, after many years of blindness
I open my eyes and contemplate and
This huge world of beauty and magic
Suddenly this new universe of allure is opened
As if the pieties opened a new door
I saw the captivating charms of nature
It's every intricately placed details
Complementing its combined charisma
Decorating this bland life of barren land
Bringing color to this black and white existence
But along with these euphonies come the
Imperfections of nature, the distinct errors
The missing leave on a grand Oak tree
The slightly tainted blue in the Atlantic
The unevenly set snow on the Everest
However, only these flaws in God's work
Do set nature from cheap pictures of charm
The cracked paintings portraying pure magic
The politician's images of a perfect nation
And make it such a graceful and flawless beauty
Author notes
Of course, I could've just said I got my prescription lenses.
I just felt like writing this.... suggestions please!

Very well written! It really is nice to get new lenses. Even though it was exaggerated, it's actually a fairly accurate description of what it feels like to have good vision after not having it for so long. And whether you meant it or not, this poem had a lot more meaning than the literal
