Oh How We Love The Pit

We slave over the music
The Broadway hard music
For four months do we practice
Practice twice a week
Two hours each practice
Until the month of February
Then the fun begins
Three and a half hour rehearsals
With the theatre people on stage
Learning the small nuances
That the theatre decides to change
We play until we're dead tired
Sitting in the pit the whole time
Trying to watch the play
When we don't have to play
Two weeks of hell in a pit
Performances signal an end
And we're somewhat excited
Because we might get sleep
And time to do homework
But we love the pit anyway
We'll probably be back next year

Tell me what you think
