I Just Want [ to be pretty]

Control is what I want
    what I need

Feeling it slip
    beyond my reality

Lived all my years
    giving away what I need

Now I look at my self
    seeing what I despise

Always envying
    never wanted

Promise myself to be in control
to be the one lusted after

On this day
    I will be me

No more hiding behind a smile
    letting go to be free

Good girl goes out the window
what comes in I don't know?

Next time you look at me
    I'll break your heart

[And be the pretty one too]

Author notes

Just a reminder for me to look back to when I am about to give up...

"Sometimes you have to take the leap and build your wings on the way down."

But how do take the risk to be the first one to leap...
