The memorial lies by the side of the road,
And the world still turns as the cars drive by.
Pictures, memories, torn and bare
Roses scattered like the blood shed here.
A solitary white rose perches royally on the frozen ground,
For white is the color of hope,
And there is hope for her in heaven.
The rain falls,
Sheeting curtains of angel's tears,
Mourning the lost and forgotten.
White is the color of hope,
And there is hope yet for Mommy in heaven.
Hope on a parched battlefeild of lost souls,
A white rose lies on the side of the road,
And the world still turns as the cars drive by.
Author notes
i wrote this while i was very upset about several deaths to familys at my school (not my family!!!) it was also partially inspired by a song i heard on my friend's ipod (you rock, connor!) about someone dying and someone else crying - if i find out the song title, i'll post it here.

hmm this was good. Im not completely sure it follows with my contest though i want something to cheer her up over losing her son this isn't really what I haad in mind.
