"Just once more,"
she whispers,
and her finger travels down her throat.
Tears make their trek
across her face
but she barely notices.
"This is the last time,"
she vows to herself,
"before I stop for good."
She lies and she knows it,
but lies hurt far less
than the truth in her ears.
