Hot Flames From Old Wood

Missing image
Amber eyes possess my soul; I am burning.
Fire from Phoenix inspires all my yearning.
Those sparks ignite flame in this ancient wood.
This heat provides delight yet burns me good.
Old minds, old souls, old passions and old bards,
Light up this night as beacon for the stars.
Oh universe, take notice of my glee;
My blaze disturbs the dark gloriously.
Heaven stirs to ponder this display;
A light that turns the night into bright day.
Stars observe my potent fire from earth.
Old wood's demise and subsequent rebirth.

The fires of life are fueled by passion’s lust
Old bards burn brightly first then turn to dust.

Author notes

I do not want my revision to be judged but I want to dedicate it to Masterblaster and Capricorn poet who inspire me to become the best that I can. Thank you, Jane

    Ooh, a sonnet where is the time I tried my hands at these and failed miserably actually
    You have a perfect rhymescheme that reads very naturally, and the flow is flawless as well

    Great job!

    passion of life

    Flows lovely as the words burn into the soul's passion that transfigures flesh into a bright eternal fire.
    as you wish it won't be judged..
