I silenty creep through the walls as you sleep,
I eat from your childrens food.
You hate me yet fear me,
My body so small.
You hit me and cage me and tease me so.
I am hard headed,
A little it's true.
I steal what I want,
As long as it's shiny and small enough to carry,
However I hide well so oh well boo-hoo.

So true...it's their long fleshly tails
that freak me out..you wrote this wonderfully our
fear of rats! shiver, shiver....i'd personally rather
face a whole rooms of snakes, then one big rat peering
at me. In Montana they have something called a
Pack Rat...oh my...half rat half racooon like creature.
Took us two months to chase him out!
ears/SEattle
they like to nest on the engine of your car!
ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww...great poem! imagery killed us!
