Obama I been laudin'

A black face in a white place
OH! Obama, you've got my vote
Although you can't erase the ugly scar of slavery
you can bring change to a sad nation.

You are hope for the hopeless

you are peace.

Your vision is clear

your time draws near.

your chances are not remote.

When all is said and done, if you have won

remember what it was that got you there.

Ignore the bigots and the hater,s

 concentrate on healing your nation.

A vote for Barack Obama is a vote for change.

America needs change more than anything.

This is very well focused on peace and equality and a reminder that all races marched with Dr. King in the fight for equal rights and representation. Thank you for both the poem and the reminder.

    One Love,

    John

I love your emotional support and the passion which you've used as motivation to write. I do hope that Obama helps the people make the changes that are much needed in America, and world wide. I pray he will do as he promises.

I have learned not to place my trust in man for change, and I've learned (the hard way) that I can only change me. I can however work for progress in this country, that is my dearest wish. That we move toward a nation that considers all its people.

A very thought-provoking work here poet. Yes, there is change in your words. Thank you for this entry and I wish you the best in the challenge.

    Much Love & Respect ♥
