he awaits the moment of inspiration
from within.
With materials piled beside him,
he contemplates the images emerging
from within.
Shall it be majestic and grand
or soft and gentle.
The images speak again,
from within.
The mind says one thing,
the heart another, sighing
from within.
In dreamlike motion, he picks up the pen,
listening to the heart as he writes
from within...
Author notes
Although this was written for a special freind on AP, I beleive it could also express how each of us write, but it also fits "Lionheart" for not only is he a carpenter in reallife, he constructs many words of wisdom for us all.

I loved it
I loved the poem and the authors note. Very cerebral yet heartfelt. Good writing and beautiful imagery, {a carpenter and architect of words}, love that. Conni

"from within" I like the way you describe in this poem. Like images. writings always come out better when you write with your heart. Love the poem.

''You've Been Tagged''
I have often felt that poetry is not confined to words. It is everywhere. It is the application of love in any endeavour. Carpenters take a vision, etch it to the vision's likeness, using one of the most precious things in life, wood. It lives forever. A lovely poem.

Yes,
In a poem you have related that one thought that each poet/ess must experience before he can find the creative surge. I like that you were able to bring that expression to light and word.

This is so original and well written.
I love the premise.
Who really knows where it comes from.
I think it is genius to articulate the processes in a poem.
The title is just an amazing example of your wonderful thought process.
Your comments on my work are a wonderful addition knowing what real talent you have.
Enjoyed this very much.
MANY MANY BLESSINGS,
LOWELL POE.

If any phrase is to be repeated in a poem for Tom, it should very well be "from within". All that he does is from within... all that he speaks and feels and touches and loves... it all comes from within. Especially his writing! This is a beautiful piece and about such a wonderful man. Thanks so much for sharing this with is, and for taking the time to show support and love for a very kind and warm man!!
Always,
Mel

Very lovely and poetic. Each of us writes from that special place we inhabit, the inner self. Your words speak with a gentleness that comes from caring. Happy trails
