Why do I love you?
The truth is simply true,
when I knew that you were mine,
my smile quickly grew.
I love you for your mind.
I love you for your heart.
I knew that I would fall for you,
even from the start.
I love hearing your voice,
and love it when you laugh.
I love so much that when you do,
I cant help but smile back.
Your amazing,
your sweet,
your caring, and kind.
I thought before I met you
these things I'd never find.
You gave me hope when I had none.
You brought me up from down.
You saved me from my crushing fate.
The escape with you I found.

When I tell my Xbf I love him he is always asking why
and I am always short for words
I wrote this to answer his question
telling him why he means so much to me
and he still does...

i know how that is. my boyfriend is able to be so verbal and i often struggle to find the words i want to say. i think you've done a great job with expressing it in this poem.
