Shadow and long Valentine

Tree of clouds has fallen
Upon a river entwined in Gold
with silver laces beckoning
a shaded heart whose told

Of fantasies withheld inside
the many greys of night
Letting passion rush further more
to the lover's lost delight

And upon the hearing of lark
Singing with angel, she
skipped upon the stepping stones
Entranced in all her glee

For one small arrow shot'eth
and landed 'tween her feet
with note of caring shadow
whose always there to pick her feet

To pick them up when she has fallen
to place them back the stones
So one day he might sit with her
Upon two Wedding thrones

Day dreamer Shadow does persist
Perhaps one day it may
Rain for them to simply kiss
and lock their dreams to stay

Essence of a perfume keeper
Strumming hand across thin strings
Lest they break an aging chord
the melodies shall sing

"Two souls have since then traveled
'cross young stones just over yonder
leaving room between each one
to let the other ponder"

Shadow always pledged to her
That he would stay forever here
And paused in between his words
to wipe away a tear.

"Oh darling angel who doth sing
with the wondrous rising swans
What would thou say if i should stay
for every golden dawn?"

With reply as sweet as that
as the warming soft west winds
"Oh blest am I to e'er see
that this beauty hasn't sinned

Oh yes oh yes, young shadow daring
Through chilling death foretold
Love be the final mourner
Of the parting of our souls."

Thus hither they have come
from amongst the stepping stones
through woodlands traveled mystery
where now they live 'pon Wedding thrones

Bells, oh bells, how they rejoice
in ever sounding cheer
From Vala-day to further more
In blissful, loving years..

Ever fond of shadow
Her Mistress does prepare
for Life among the wilderness
in care of loving stare
Both blessed by the mystery
of that we do not know
Only knowing that this be
The heart's own Cherished Glow..
