Down the street, those city lights
Are her only comfort through the night
They make her blind and give her sight
Lost between what's wrong and what is right.
Her heart was left on the window pane
But it fell and was lost again
She says that she's fine but can feel the pain
Lost between what is wrong and what is sane.
She swallows a drink to burn a hole
And watches the girls dance on the pole
Looking at the men whose hearts they stole
Lost between what is love and what is coal
She fears she'll never know what’s true
The wounds to her heart are always new
Never sure just what to do.
Lost in the words “I love you”
The words are simple sighs
Promises of love but mainly lies
Their bodies are sold but they never cry
Lost in lust and an unmeant goodbye
Her heart is sold, her heart is stolen
Hurt by words never spoken
Her lies are meant, her truth is chokin.
Lost in what is true and what is broken.
Author notes
Not my normal writing style. This was AAAA and I usually do ABCB.
but i think it turned out fairly well.

awwww... so sad. I really liked this- you told of so much in these lines. I really liked the ending lines- really spoke to me for whatever reason. Well done!
