Your smiling face brought joy to those around you
Peace & a security could be found in that smile, too
So much good was in your heart, though its path was rough
You smiled through it all & for us that was enough
A new found hope you brought for me at one point
A new beginning you helped me find at my low point
For the strength & the courage, the love & devotion shown
A part of me would have never been, if you weren’t there to hold
Hold my hand when I needed stability
And I appreciate that hand & what it did for me
I will remember the good & always will in my heart
Though you’ve left in body, I know your spirit will never depart
