my experience shows me that due to a lack of mental intervention this person found himself, lost in a world of his own self guilt and deception to believe that there are none to little answers for him. i have seen many people go down the same or similar track, and still need mental intervention. growing into adulthood becomes very difficult, and realising the way life is supposed to be causes major isolation from the general community.
this really does a person no good, especially when there are no family members to help, guide or support the victim, of his own mental frame of mind. i refer to the person as a victim, due to relative lack psychological intervention. this persons life has spiraled out of control, though he is still responsible for his actions. i believe it is in his best interest that his reintergration into society is a smooth process of psychological and psychiactric help. rehabilitation can only be effective through a commitment to him as a person. personal wellbeing is something that the judicary system needs to address, through correctional facilities and psychiactric care facilities. there is no reason to send a person to a correctional facility, if the problems beneath a person are not addressed. the issue of reoffending will waste more of your time than sending him to a mental health program, for two to three years. the sentence of 5 years can be still carried out with a mental health institution. yet i would see little value in wasting more of this childs life with putting him through more years of correction. please uphold my intentions of this letter, this letter is to gratify this person with the self respect he deserves.
lets align this person with the reality of family, community and the support networks available to increase this persons chances at being successful in life.
lets not continue to isolate individuals, but lets us support our community and commit this persons life to the road of success and mental stability
