How do I say goodbye, when I didn’t say hello??
I love you so much, how do I let you go??
The future was bright, but not anymore,
My heart hurts like never before.
The pain and confusion I feel inside,
I can not explain, I can not describe.
You are blessed my child, you're in heaven up above.
You'll never be alone, you have Daddy's love.
You're my perfect angel, I dreamed you long ago.
I never got to hold you, breaks my heart to let you go.
I have so many questions and there are no answers to find
But don't think for just a second that you'll ever leave my mind.
Although you didn't meet me and look into my eyes,
Daddy will be thinking of you when I look up in the skies.
Author notes
This poem was penned in memory of my beloved little boy whom I lost through miscarriage.
I will always love you and hope that one day we will be together.

Such a sad topic. I hate that anyone ever has to feel pain like this...Ive lost 2. and though at the time it doesnt feel like it..The pain soon fades away..and you know that hes looking down on you.

This is such a beautiful and sad piece of writing. It touches my heart because I have felt similar pain in the loss of my daughter. It is an unbearable pain that no one should have to feel, and I agree with the comment below about it being foolish to think only women suffer. I'm sorry for your loss, and wish you all the best. Beautifully Heartbreaking
I had to stop and dry my eyes for a minute before posting. I can't say I know what you're going through but I think pain is universal and I could see my own pain through this. I've never seen a work from the male perspective. How foolish for people to think only the woman suffers when it happens. Beautifully made.

Very touching and sad. Something I can totally relate to and I am sure your little boy is watching and protecting you. Always by your side. This is very touching as well as heartbreaking. No parents should have to go through this. Many blessings to you!
