If I could turn back
any moment in time
It would be to last
year's valentine
It was such a dark,
heart-breaking day
I told my wife of
Nine years to go away
We were having problems,
things were getting bad
I told her I didn't love
her, and it made her sad
I still hear her crying,
from the words I had said
That night lives on, as
a nightmare, in my head
If I could go back to
that night, then I would
Everything I have screwed
up, I would make good
I'd make sure I follow
through on our wedding vows
and she would be in my
arms right here and now

Im sorry about you and your wife. I read your story on your page and some of your poems. your a very good writer. I like this poem even though its kinda sad. Valentines day was bad for me this year becasue my Grandpa died and we went to his funeral on Valentines day. But he was a happy guy and I was gad to be with my family on Valentines Day. You gotta look torwards the good in things, even when it hurts and is harder than hell! Again great write.
