i thrash around
screaming at you
to get away from me.
but you won't because you'll
always be there at the
back of my mind.
"relax! i'm not
going to hurt you so
stop moving around!"
i slow my movements
as i hear this
new commanding voice.
i look around the
bright room but
see no one there.
my pure white jacket
is being pulled tightly
around me now.
i start to struggle
again in vain against
this invisible force.
"you'll never escape me.
i'll always be here
taunting you."
i scream at you again
holding my hands
over my ears this time.
it doesn't muffle
your ridicule and
merely eggs you on.
the jacket being pulled on
by the invisible man
is now almost buckled up.
i fight harder but how are
you supposed to beat an
opponent you can't see?
"that's it! i'm tired
of your belligerence!
this will teach you!"
the disembodied voice said
just before a sharp pain
erupted in my thigh.
my mind went fuzzy
and my eyes began
to get watery.
my vision started blackening
but you have no sympathy
and mocked me all the way down.
