I remember girlfriends I never had,
and write about them, now as lovers.
Free of scars I surly would have endured
each time rejected over reasons
never quite understood.
I remember girls that scared me into silence
with their beauty and left me wondering.
Why I was me.
Cursing out my portly body,
and pimpled face.
Now they are my x-lovers.
That can’t escape my pen and thoughts.
Whose innocents were mine for the taking.
That fell at my side.
Begging for one more chance.
That I treat, as they surly would have treated me.
If I had the courage, to ask for a date then.

I like this. You make it real to you, even though the girls were never really yours, but for in your head.
Nice write~

wow i really like this. Shows your feelings and thoughts. And the concept is really cool. My favorite part is:
remember girlfriends I never had,
and write about them, now as lovers.
Free of scars I surly would have endured
each time rejected over reasons
never quite understood.
Good luck in this contest
