It's really difficult to get attention from someone when you're interested in someone else. This poem really portrays the moral dilemma - the temptation to fall for someone simply to be loved. I recently had this problem, the guy I really like did not understand my un-subtle hints at a party yet I had an offer from someone else and I spent time with him instead and we had heaps of fun.
"from all but the right ones" - but how do you know if it's right until you try? I love the experimental feeling to the final section, the idea of pretence.
