Cowering underneath the bright lights
Strangers on the street
Just pass on by
Snow on the ground
Along with ice...
Little Rose crouches down
Scared for her life of the man
Coming after her
He carries a gun
And it is bigger than any gun
She's ever seen
She knows he can easily track her
Where is he?
Have I lost him?
Thoughts bounce through her head
As if they want to knock her out
Why hasn't he come for me yet?
She cowers lower as footsteps
Echo through the night
A kind face peers at her
And the fear returns
He holds out his hand
I know you are cold
Come with me
Don't worry
I am a friend
It is the man with the gun
But she is cornered
With nothing but a low roof over her head
And no way to get around the man
To jump over it and run again
She takes his hand
The soldier is the one
Who depicts her destiny
Will her fear ever diminish?
Author notes
I left it hanging for a reason, my friend. It would not be fear anymore if I didn't, and I want to give you a chance to use your imagination.

Oh my gosh.
For some reason I thought he was
going to kill her! But then when
you wrapped up the one part I
got what you meant.
I wish you luck.
