It's that time of year again,
Couples embrace,
And I think of you.
Of what we were,
And how this should be me and you.
Holding hands,
And laughing out.
This is how things should be,
But you're not here,
To hold my hand,
But this time,
I won't be sad.
Yes, I'll think of you.
Remember your kiss,
Think of how we had all this.
But I know the truth,
You're not here now,
You're somewhere else,
With someone else,
And I'm just the sad kid,
Who remember's yesteryear,
Of how things were,
Of how they should have stayed.
