In Your Embrace

We met and the earth smiled,

our two halves made a whole,

the raindrops held their breath,

and we began to share a soul.

 

Mid winter flowers blossomed,

for the union of you and I,

a passion we’ll always nurture,

and cherish throughout our lives.

 

This is just the beginning,

of a love that I believe is true,

keep me tight in your embrace, Ben,

and I’ll forever love you too.

    Hey, nice write. its a very beautiful tribute to your boyfriend. its great that you made it rhyme, too.. without forcing the words just so that they would rhyme. well done

    And though I'm not the biggest fan of rhyming poetry, I think you have done an excellent job with this one The rhyme is very naturally, and the flow is flawless as well.
