Nothing like the torment within
Emotions under attack filled with despair
There is hope a victory to win
You think there is no one that cares
You have to see you've been deceived
Doing what you think God wants for you
You feel that failure is all you receive
Yet to thine own heart be true.
What is in your heart is what you become
Don't let ugly feelings of rage manifest
The Spirit brings vessels and I am one
His love and mine are what is best
Pride is your own worst enemy
Fear eats it's way into your heart
You believe the lies and what you think you see
No one lets you think on your own part
This is when you must know Him
He will give you strength to break through
Let the scales fall from your eyes
Realize what is said and done
Evil is good at showing us lies
It's a battle that will be won
I can only be there for your test
Praying that you will conquer all
I know your heart at it's best
It's you that has to stop your fall

Wow, I love so many things about this poem...I know too well about torment and despair, and the hope that I always find in Jesus. He is SO faithful, even if no one else is. Evil is good at showing us lies...so true! And realizing that we can pray for those we love, but they ultimately need to stop their own fall. Excellent.
