The wind blows (freedom's sigh) fiercely about my face,
whistling persistantly in my ear (all I can hear)
and whipping the strands of my hair, I'm Medusa.
I spread my arms and take off.
Standing outside, rain thundering around
I am an eagle soaring among the clouds,
a kite caught in the frantic rhythm, and dance.
Tilt my head back and scream.
Sing and scream with abandoned ecstasy
(wildness and crazy waver in the trills)
In this moment, I'm queen of the world (empress of my fate)
and every minute of my life
belongs solely to me, and I'll do what I like.

Wow, I'm simply blown away. Thanks for entering my contest, best of luck. -
Whoa. That was really good! I love the idea and the freneticness of it... kind of at a loss for words. "Empress of my fate" is an awesome phrase. Amazing job and good luck in the contest!
