    Well you are not alone with those feelings. many live a lie of fantasy, though the heart and soul desire other things, the mind acts it is alright. Such a shame, life, our life is too short to waste on fantasy, creates nothing, nor leave anything inside to soothe the ache that lies there. For me, love is life. I would do anything for love, real love, its what breathing, touching and feeling is all about. Thank you for sharing what so many feel.

    I'm with you there. I dont like the holiday at all, and being fresh from an abusive marriage where he's allowed to walk free only makes the pain that much more prevelant. I dont think there's a card I've ever purchased that said what I was truly feeling. I congratulate you for saying what you say, and also for giving your loved one something no amount of money can buy-a part of your true self.

      To be honest, I never gave him the card, but I wrote it last year and still feel the same this year. I have felt the same for many years and the more I hold it in the worse I feel. It is like a reality check when I go to buy a card. It feels like a lie to give a card with all kinds of mushy shit that I don't feel.
