Dear God do you listen,
When I pray you my prayer?
‘Cos I’m starting to wonder,
Do you really care?
Dear God when I ask you,
For peace in my life,
Why do you shatter my hopes,
With the force of a knife?
Dear God I have asked you,
On many a time,
What’s the point of a poem,
With no rhythm or rhyme?
When I ask you these questions,
That you seem to ignore,
I’m starting to wonder, God,
What are you for?

Not an uncommon prayer, but finely and uncommonly expressed in this little poem! bravo!

hmm...sorry, don't really know what to say...

Honestly I found some of the rhyming a little forced and cliche. And your message... well I am not one to preach. I'm not a religious person by any means. However I do believe in God. And I think that when you truly open your heart and listen He is there... because I didn't understand that until I had an experience like that myself and since then, no one can tell me otherwise... if you really so want to hear Him, you will.

This is a nice write. You know the saying...everything happens for a reason. But I wonder the same thing sometimes. Good write though.
