Oh, a merry go round, looks like fun.
Starts off fun but when does the ride end?
It just keeps going and going.
Faster and faster it turns.
Oh, I think I'm going to be sick.
Please let me off, I just wanted some fun.
(The one thing that I hate about contest are pay it forward, they are like a merry go rounds that never stops, alot of the contest resulted from pay it forward seem like people just through anything out there to get it over with. Maybe people do not want to host a contest.)

I do agree, I can never be bothered with pay it forward. Some people don't have a life away from AP. Well done on this!

Cover letters, Their like cover letters, You know, send this message to ten others or you will be cursed, blah blah.
I agree.

Agreed
They suck the life out of what should be fun and playful. They turn it into somwthing spiteful and unhappy. I hope others get the message.

I totally agree Those things get on my freakin nerve. Nice one

Yes, I hate those things as well, my daughter. All they do is cause people to start contests that really don't want to do, or are not prepared to do. The end result is bad contests and bad poetry. I think a good name for it would be "forced participation". That's not what poetry should be about.
Poetry should be about quiet speculation and deep thoughts, along with meaningful language. You are not going to get that out of most PIF's. I have never entered a PIF and never will. By the way, I feel the same way about quickies as well, for the very same reasons iterated above.
Pertinent write about a sore spot with me, thank you so much.

awsome job -
I hate those fricking PIF contests too! I entered one once (not knowing what the heck a fricking PIF meant). When I learned, don't you know I withdrew INSTANTLY! I was like, "PIF? WTF?"
