You may never realize
as you take one step at a time,
at a leisurely pace
reflecting the past,
Remembering those happy days
as your eyes fill with tears,
visualizing the empty years
of not very long ago .
Don’t feel lonely,
I am with you;
Don’t lose heart,
I love you.
You may never see me;
But I shall always walk alongshore .

i wrote this one years ago in the memory of my favourite uncle. he loved reading my poems, so this one is for him.
