Conformity

No acceptance
For those that are different.
Damn society and it's life standards.

You grow up,
Always being told to be yourself.

But when your of age,
your spat in the face.
Reality hits harder than any bully,
You will be conformed.
Stripped away from yourself,
And turned into another drone.
Fighting back holds no relief
Conformity will catch you and turn you,
Turn you into another drone.

Author notes

Well some of the options I chose to write about had to be, the loss of one's identity and well it seems that this type of things happen to children nostly teenagers as they are seeing the truths of life and what happens in it.

So....

I liked the truth behind this poem. All of my life I have been told to be myself, and not give into peer pressure. I'm not old enough to be one of society's "drones," but I understand where you are coming from.
