Let me hold
my blue-tinged umbrella
over the rainy skies,
as we walk, the slippery path
of tearful monsoon streets.
Let me whisper
a silent comfort
in your bleeding heart,
a promise, that bleak afternoons shall
bloom into dewy dawns.
Let me offer
a winged prayer
for healing of scarring thoughts,
a timid friendship, in lily bunches,
to color your transparent walls.
Let me shed
a crimson tear
to hold you close to heart,
and make you stay, in cherished faith
of sunnier summer rays.
Let me sing
a heartfelt note
to carpet the paths you tread,
as you walk, to warmth of friends
who welcome, with open arms.

Shancy was your judge for the contest… Because of the abundance of entries... we are having trouble getting two scores for each poem...I would just like to thank you anyway for entering and participating in our contest and good luck,
