Ode to the Necklace

Oh—lace of
the neck,
which adorns
the bare,
hangs cold
between my breasts.
strong as a
statue and
just as icy;
you’re regal enough
to make
a queen proud,
and greedy enough
to make her grovel
for without you,
she would be
nothing.
you shine brighter
than stars
and glitter
more freely;
the light of the
sun dims
in your presence.
and I cannot
help but to
worship that
which you touch.
let me be your
servant;
you may be
my master.
you have the
word to set me
free.
command me.
guide me.
help me.
make me
a queen.

what d'ya think?

    Wow, all this from a necklace? Someone sure love her jewelry and some royals where like this. They loved fancy things and needed the status to be royal.
